WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS YOUR TRUE SELF
Open your calendar. Find 30 minutes this week you can schedule to be alone, all by yourself. Make sure the time is distraction free and uninterrupted. I find it best to get up 30 minutes earlier for this kind of thing.
Find a comfortable spot to sit at a desk or table. Have a pad of paper or your Evernote app open.
Now the hard part – dig down deep and think about what you really believe.
Don’t be superficial in an attempt to complete this exercise. Write down what you believe at the core of your soul. No one is going to see this, so be truthful. There is no right or wrong answer. You may not like what you right, but that is that point — to have a real, truth-based starting line.
This is going to help you learn a lot about yourself. If you don’t know yourself you don’t know your passion. And if you can’t fully define and state your true passion, you can’t know or fulfill your Purpose.
It might be helpful to segment your beliefs into core topics. You might begin with topics like….
- Faith in God
- Health and Fitness
What you really believe will drive all your behavior, thoughts, and actions.
Write them down and start a ‘Passion and Purpose’ file. Knowing what you truly believe will help you shape your life’s journey.
